The controller will be accountable for the day to day accounting operations of the company, including preparation and delivery of artist settlements, production of financial reports, and maintenance of accurate accounting records.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
  • Issue complete and accurate financial statements monthly
  • Ensure the constant availability of accurate financial records needed to make business decisions
  • Process Journal Entries and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Manage treasury function ensuring cash accounts are accurate and continually reconciled
  • Laisse with Agents on timely and accurate preparation of Artist Statements
  • Collaborate with Director of Accounting and Finance on process improvements and system enhancements
  • Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to Director of Finance
  • Prepare Quarterly Agent Commission Statements
  • Work with Finance Director to Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual tax filing
  • Provide Analytical Support to the Director of Finance and Accounting as requested



  • Advanced Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
  • Highly competent with Tier II accounting systems
  • In-depth knowledge of Intacct preferred
  • 5-7 years experience in a similar role
  • Advanced Excel Skills required, ability to create financial/accounting models a must, macro knowledge preferred
  • Music Industry Knowledge preferred
  • Highly Analytical: Able to Synthesize complex information
  • Cash Management: Able to manage complex, high volume Deposit Tracking
  • Problem Solver: Able to identify, solve problems, and suggest process improvements
  • Customer Service: Responds promptly and appropriately to internal and external customer needs

Agent Assistant


Assistant to music booking agents.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish, build, and maintain positive relations with promoters, artists and music industry professionals.

  • Handle heavy telephone calls, emails and written submissions
  • Assist agent in the creation artist performance contracts
  • Create, input and distribute reports and forms
  • Regularly update information in our booking platform
  • Receive, execute and distribute artist performance agreements
  • Coordinate artist deposits and night of show payments
  • Compile client guest lists
  • General office duties
  • Manage client settlement reports with finance department
  • Weekly report to Agent: Ticket sales, routing, deposit ledger
  • Track settlements for artists including percentages, ticket audits and reconciliation
  • Ensure and maintain superior client service
