Broomfield, CO
Music and Entertainment Venue

The Job
Turn this white, sterile, boomy mid-sized sports arena into a world-class music venue.

The Plan

When new venue owners AEG Live Rocky Mountains and Kroenke Sports Enterprises, in a joint venture called Peak Entertainment, set out to re-open this mid-sized arena in early 2010, they called on Madison House Presents to help design and style the facility in a way that would change the way patrons currently think about a venue of this size.

Madison House Presents took a completely unique design approach, combining the very best parts of arena production capabilities with the décor and soul of the world’s great theatres.

Gone are the white walls, bright lights, and soul-less signage of the typical modern arena. Madison House Presents designed a palette of rich colors, creative textures, and artful touches throughout the venue. At the center of the entertainment experience is a state-of-the-art video screen that hangs over the stage. Measuring 130 feet across, this versatile feature offers limitless ways to transform the venue’s main space.

Madison House Presents also transformed spaces throughout the concourse. The upper lounge, open to all guests, is now a premier viewing area with direct sight lines to the stage. Additionally, several previously enclosed bars were remodeled to be inviting and welcoming gathering spots.

Today, the 1STBANK Center is a game-changer for a 6500 person capacity venue: music fans want to come here, and musicians want to play here. Just ask MUSE, Carrie Underwood, Phish, or the slew of others who have enjoyed sold out shows at this exceptional new performance space.
